At Able Personal Care, we believe that there’s no “one-size-fits-all” approach to providing care and that each person is entitled to personalized, high-quality care that meets their specific situation and needs. Our personal care services are customized according to each client’s exact care requirements. From the first call, we will work closely with you to determine the kind of help that you need.
Our personal care services are intended for individuals who need increased assistance with personal care tasks. These services may be required due to a disability, a decrease in one’s physical and/or cognitive abilities, and due to other personal circumstances.
Our personal caregivers assist with, but are not limited to:
Assistance with Activities of Daily Living
We offer assistance with activities of daily living (ADL) including:
- Bathing. Whether you need complete bathing assistance or if you just need someone to accompany you as you bathe for safety purposes, we are ready to meet your needs.
- Dressing. Whether you need someone to help you pick your clothes for the day or if you need someone to help you get dressed, our caregivers can provide the help you need.
- Grooming. Whether you need help with shaving, oral care, nail cutting, brushing your hair, or some other personal grooming tasks, we can help you.
- Eating and Meals. A healthy, well-balanced meal is important for your overall health. If you need some help with meal preparation and if you need feeding assistance, we are here for you.
- Mobility. Need help getting in and out of bed? Do you need assistance as you move around? Our caregivers can provide all of the mobility assistance that you need.
- Toileting. Whether you need someone to help you clean or if you simply need someone to pass the toilet paper, our caregivers can help.
- Transferring. Need some help transferring from the bed to your wheelchair and vice versa? If you need help transferring, let our caregivers provide the assistance you require.
- Medication Reminders/Assistance. Drinking the right medications, at the right time, and with the right dose is important. Our caregivers can provide you with timely reminders and provide assistance if needed.
Note: We also offer assistance with services that are incidental to ADL such as assistance with light housekeeping, meal preparation, essential shopping, laundry, and assistance to Medicaid covered appointments.
